WELCOME TO STAG CITY
^ My own situation is presented upon load, but you can add in your own numbers to see what comes out!
How you use the budget can be in two ways. Firstly, you can save up for a set book's price and substract it then, or you buy the book first, and work your way back to 0 from a starting point in the negatives. There's no wrong way to go about it, but these make the most sense (to me).
This had been on my shelf for too long and man was it a shame I didn't pick it up any sooner! I don't know where I got the recommendations, but
it was from a booktokker who was a big sci-fi/fantasy reader. I'm not on that platform anymore so I'm not sure I can find her again to give my eternal
gratitude, but MAN!
Buehlmann does something with the already frightening setting of a highly lethal plague and adds a delightful amount of horror to it. If I had to
compare it to anything, it would be Dark Souls, but the setting is so immersive and so real that it also isn't that. It doesn't feel too detached from
reality precisely because of how much of realism is sprinkled in. Only finished this earlier this year, but already itching for a reread. Please
check this book out if you can.
